It was a late night indeed as I waited to hear if I had made the cut. I arrived early at event location at 8PM SLT and patiently waited for it to begin:

After a slight delay we sat down around the stage. At this point the mainland sim we were on filled to capacity! Yikes, now that Havok 4 is out won’t they boost that limit from 40 to something higher?
My poor friend Khitten could not get back in! Wisely it was decided to move to a private island and somehow we all managed to pile into the sim.
Now what happened next was a bit disconcerting to me. They began to go through the applicants alphabetically and give them a thumbs up or thumbs down. Some were publicly questioned on their applications in a manner that made me squirm a little bit. I dunno, maybe it should have been done in private. Of course this is SL and maybe they sought to recreate some of the drama that is present in RL pageants. 
It did add to the tension and excitement for the night.
Did I make it??? YES!!!!!!! Without any additional comment it was announced I was selected! YAY! Oy Vey!, after 3 hours of waiting I was exhausted and had to crash into my warm, soft bed.

I’d like to give Celebrity Trollop a shoutout! Not only did she look gorgy, but she handled herself very well under scrutiny. A class act!

Oh boy! Here we go! The first round of the Miss SL Ebony 2008 is tonight at 9pm SLT. 58 have entered and only 30 will be selected this round. This is the first “legitimate” pageant I have joined (the Simone thing was a farce to begin with) and I have a good feeling about the organizers and participants. I haven’t met a meany or jerk yet.

Today was a special treat for two reasons! After an 8 month absence Star Yue returned to SL to perform at an SL Relay For Life event. Star Yue is a very talented Elton John tribute artist who can play and sing just like Elton John. Apart from lacking an English accent his ability to sing like Sir Elton is uncanny.
Here’s Star puckering up with Amanda Steadham, his in world manager and she also coordinates numerous SL RFL events.
Rav got a little some-something too. LOL, it was a kissing booth so he did do it for charity

Last night I was supposed to DJ at the Extra Innings Pub but SL decided to crap out big time. Darn those asshat servers! My 2 hour set was only 40 minutes since I could not log in at all. Fortunately Rav got on the mic and explained the troubles and even read from the LL blog. Oh well, how soon we forget the bad ole days of 2006 when the grid would close a lot.

I recently decided to have my portrait done and picked Loki Popinjay to do it. He impressed me with is picture he took of me last month.

The other night I had the pleasure to see Heath Elvehjem perform at the September Rain sim. Oh my was I ever surprised! Tsk Tsk Alexandria , you should have invited me over sooner . The sim is a tropical paradise with large trees, glorious waterfalls and lots of nature sounds. You arrive near the west side of the island and can either go into the small village or go towards the main valley where the artist perform.

After posting my article on the SS Galaxy I received a notice from Marta Jamberoo about an Easter Egg hunt on her island. Marta makes a lot of silks and “warrior” girl outfits and one of the eggs contained a very skimpy, sexy native warrior girl outfit. I put it on and was instantly motivated to go out and shoot a few shots. First off was Laguna Beach:
The place was filled with creepy horndogs who kept IMing me”hey baby, you are sexy”…. blehhh.
I recalled in my travels that Louis Landon aka Louis Volare had his own sim, right next to Hathead Rickenbacker. I TPed over and decided on the Moroccan style villa.
Much nicer. No crowds and a nice landscape.
I recall that at Marta’s store I did find one of the special golden eggs. I am guessing it is a silk outfit but I am little afraid to wear it. It is all prims! They’ll take a bit of work to cover me and lordy, you do not TP or log out with those on. When you arrive at a place your prims can often be the last things to rez!!!
